Whether you’re an adept of vegetarian cuisine or about to make your first plant-based meal, you’ll need to have protein and versatile ingredients on hand. In addition to making sure you have legumes in your pantry, stock up on tofu or tempeh which are perfect for hamburgers and Asian-inspired dishes. Get creative in the kitchen with vegetarian versions of your favourite ingredients: use meatless or vegan pâté, veggie meatballs, sausages, and meats for your salads, sandwiches, sautés, or baked dishes.
Short on time? Visit our frozen aisle for ready-made meals and vegetarian dishes you can prepare in a flash. Pizza, Indian casseroles, Mexican recipes… Simply choose your favourite flavours, cook, and enjoy. And why not serve your main course with a nice bowl of soup or a refreshing salad?
If you’re trying to satisfy a craving, you’ll also find a ton of vegetarian and vegan snacks: dried fruits and nuts for your energizing mixes, single-serve compotes, chips, dips (salsa, hummus, etc.) and even vegan, dairy-free fauxmages. We’ve got you covered for snacks and happy hour!
In terms of beverages, there are plenty of plant-based options available. Almond, oat, soy, and coconut beverages are perfect for smoothies and coffee. You can also use them in your cereal, oatmeal, and even in your muffin or cake mixes. They also go well in omelets and sauces.
